Early Life
Born on 3 November 1951 in Khohra Mulla village (Dausa district), Rajasthan, Dr. Kirodi Lal Meena grew up in a farming family. He earned his MBBS from Sardar Patel Medical College, Bikaner, practiced medicine for around two years, and later became associated with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) before entering active politics.

Political Career
His organisational work in the BJP began early, serving as district president of the Sawai Madhopur unit (1981) and later as state president of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (1986). He was first elected to the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly in 1985 and was elected to the Lok Sabha in 1989 and again in 2009. He served as Cabinet Minister for Food and Civil Supplies in the first Vasundhara Raje government (2003-2008), left the BJP in 2008, joined the National People's Party (NPP) in 2013, and returned to the BJP in 2018, when he was sent to the Rajya Sabha. In January 2024, he was allocated portfolios including Agriculture & Horticulture, Rural Development, Disaster Relief & Civil Defence, and Public Grievance Redressal.
